Getting started
Bring a webcam and a reference image to your first live AI character swap. Check the trial and billing rules before starting a session.
What you need
- A computer with a webcam, Chrome and a stable internet connection.
- A clear reference image. Use a single person with an unobstructed face for character swap; highlight the clothes, scene or visual style for other effects.
- A Google account. First-time registration requires confirmation that you are at least 18 and acceptance of the terms and privacy policy.
- Your own or authorized images, with consent from anyone shown in a real person's photo. Label published output as AI-generated and follow the responsible-use rules.
1. Sign in and choose an effect
Click Start with Google to open the workspace. Upload or select a reference image, then choose an effect:
- Character swap: appear as the reference character while your movements and expressions guide the output.
- Outfit swap: explore clothing ideas from a reference. Results do not establish real garment sizing or fit.
- Background swap: change the scene using a reference image.
- Style transfer: apply the visual style of a reference to the live picture.
2. Check your camera preview
Allow camera access and select the right device under Camera. Make sure You (camera) shows video, then adjust lighting, distance and framing. The local preview before a session is not billed.
If you select a virtual camera such as OBS, start that camera in its source application and provide a picture containing a person. If the preview is missing, follow the camera troubleshooting steps first.
3. Choose a trial or a paid session
Free trial
One free 60-second trial per Google account, subject to capacity and daily availability. Check your signed-in trial status. When available, click Start free trial. The timer begins when the server confirms the session. It ends automatically without charging your prepaid balance or switching to paid use.
Paid session
Follow the pricing and trial guide to top up first. Your balance must cover at least 1 min. Set the automatic end time (10 minutes by default, up to 120), click Start (billed per second), then click again within 6 seconds to confirm the paid connection.
The current rate is about 1.30 USDT per minute, billed per second. Billing begins when the server confirms the session; a failed connection before that confirmation does not start billing. Uploading an image or viewing the local camera does not itself start a paid session.
4. Check the output and end the session
Once video appears, try natural head turns, gestures and expressions. To change the reference image or effect, select and apply the change in the workspace. Startup time, latency and detail depend on your network, device, service load and reference image; there is no fixed startup-time guarantee.
Click End when finished and check that the session shows as ended with its settlement. Paid use is settled by billed seconds. The session also ends when its time limit or available balance is reached. Trial and paid sessions start separately.
The website displays output in your browser. It does not itself publish to a streaming platform or supply a system virtual camera. If you need OBS or streaming-platform integration, check compatibility with support before paying.
